We know the online fitness content available today makes it really hard to choose which style or type of exercise is right for you. There are almost unlimited possibilities. Because fitness is our thing here at Livekick, we will periodically review other online fitness options to make sure you have the inside scoop.

Beachbody on Demand

Let’s start at the beginning. Beachbody became a household name through their home fitness smash hit DVD programs P90X and Insanity.

So then, what is Beachbody on Demand?

It is a massive library of online workout programs available for streaming any time, any place. The access is unlimited. Watch any number of workouts per day on any device, regardless of location or time. This provides true mobility for where and when you are able to workout. Downloading videos ahead of time allows you to avoid using WiFi which is great for your data package. Choose one program - time periods range from 3 weeks to 6 weeks to even 3 months or more - and stick to it or spice it up and do a different workout led by a different trainer every day of the week. With this much content, it would take quite some time to do them all. If you have trouble making the choice yourself, try the “Challenge du Jour”, a logically formulated full week of workouts from all different programs and led by different trainers.

Additionally, inside a membership are meal plans, calendars to track progress and other information and resources included with a program  if purchased individually. As a user of the app, there is a 10% discount for all future Beachbody purchases plus the opportunity to attend live chats with trainers.

Pros:

  1. Variety.
    • Beachbody on Demand offers so many programs including the renowned P90X and Insanity as well as some variations of the two like 21 Day Fix, Body Beast, Brazil Butt Lift, Country Heat, PiYo, Turbo Fire, Hammer & Chisel and many more. Some programs target weight loss, others muscle gain. Some are dance-based, others strength training-based. The program itself is pretty excellent. Consider investing in quality equipment to ensure good results.
  2. One month trial period for free.
    • No obligation! Try it for 30 days and, if it's not for you, stop and you're done.
  3. Mobile-friendly.
    • It's super easy to use this program for outdoor workouts which we did lots of in summer.
  4. Good workout!
    • The programs are professionally-crafted and really do produce results. We did both the 21 Day Fix and the 21 Day Fix Extreme programs regularly for a period of about six months and definitely experienced both weight loss and muscle gain.

Cons:

  1. Data usage
    • If the video isn't downloaded ahead of time and you're on spotty hotel WiFi, you’re stuck using your data which isn't great. And it drains data fast!
  2. Renting workouts
    • The moment your membership ends, so ends your access to the workouts. Unless you're old school and get the DVDs! In that case, despite the older form of technology, you own the workouts for life.

Beachbody on Demand is a great option for those desiring to workout with guidance from pre-recorded content.

If you're looking for connection and personal attention, give Livekick’s trial membership a shot today!
